Error Free Epub conversion by Cost effective Method

1. Incoming Analysis & Extraction

a. After downloading the files from the ftp site, we will check for the missing pages/components and update in our inventory and raise queries if any.

b. We will export the text from the PDF to doc/rtf format

c. We will convert the word document into PDF and compare it against the input pdf to check whether any text/formatting/special characters loss in the extracted document.



2. CSS & Template Creation, Image Extraction

a. We will analyse the different styles present in the pdf file and create the CSS & template to apply styles in the word document.

b. We will extract the images from the PDF file



3. Pre-editing & Conversion

a. First activity in the pre-editing is, cleaning up unwanted para breaks, section breaks etc.

b. Applying styles using the template

c. Execution of Spellcheck

d. Check for incorrect Hyphenation

e. Pre-validation of content

f. Creation of PDF and compare against the input PDF and clearing the errors

4. E-Pub View & Correction

a. View the file in the ADE and make corrections, if any


5. FQA
